There are three classrooms located on the second floor and one classroom on the first floor, which contain over 80 dual-boot (Windows, Linux) computers. In addition, there is an open computing space on the first floor of the library with 25 additional computers as well as a third classroom.
Each computer has a wide range of engineering software installed, from MATLAB to AutoCAD. Flatbed scanners, laser printers, DVD burners, and digital video creation stations are just a sample of the facilities available for use. ACCEL also has a computer configured with leading-edge assistive technology, and the ACCEL computing center is wheel-chair accessible.
Cornell community members are able to borrow equipment from ACCEL, including digital cameras, MiniDV camcorders, LCD projectors, and both ThinkPad and Apple laptops.
Access Your Files Remotely
Use WinSCP (PC) or Fugu (Mac) to access your S: drive from home. Connect using SFTP with your NetID and ACCEL password to remote.accel.cornell.edu.
